I was unfamiliar with the brand, but according to the packaging, these are actually made in North Carolina. I must admit I am quite skeptical about tool brands I am unfamiliar with, and my expectation was overseas harbor freight grade junk pliers, but these are well above what I expected in terms of overall quality.

I have Channel locks that are pretty old, and I have to say I much prefer the slide design of these pliers. You press the metal silver cap down and you can then slide the pliers to your desired size.

They feel good in my hand and they are non-marring and as they are painted, they are more resistant to corrosion. I will definitely need to check out the rest of their tool lineup.

First off, these are not just regular pliers. These are smooth, parallel jaw pliers designed to be less marring to fasteners and components and provide significant clamping pressure so the fastener being adjusted doesn't slip out. Also, because they provide significant compound leverage, I've used mine to press out small creases in thin metal and clamp things much more tightly than regular adjustable pliers could.

They are a specialized tool and it would be ridiculous to rate them based on how well they serve as generic pliers.

These are clearly a very close copy of the Knipex pliers wrench. They operate nearly identically, adjust the same way, and even have lightening holes and cuts in the same spot, but these are less than half the price.

As far as differences, the Knipex have a chrome plating instead of the black paint of the Workpro. Also, the adjustment button is a little easier to hit on the Workpro version, and the total jaw capacity is slightly greater on the Workpro as well (max opening of 2.35" vs 1.84" on the Knipex - both have a slightly smaller max fastener size). The Workpro pliers have jaws of slightly different size from each other - the top jaw is 0.285" and the bottom is about 0.34". The Knipex jaws are both about 0.315". I'm not sure why the Workpro went with different jaw widths and don't see that as a positive. Given the way the sides line up, it looks like they ground one of the top jaw's sides down too far. That definitely indicates less of a focus on fit and finish for the Workpro version, but at the price point I can't complain too much.

The handle insulation on both pliers is dipped plastic. The Knipex plastic is a little glossier.

I'm sure the Knipex version is better constructed out of higher quality materials, but these give about 95% of the quality for less than half the price. These are going straight in my truck's tool kit. If they're stolen, they're much cheaper to replace than the Knipex. The Knipex will remain my go-to for parts that matter, however.

I never knew these parallel jaw pliers existed, and had to try them when given a chance. I like these a lot. They’re especially handy for plumbing unions where they’re easier to handle than a pipe wrench, and they don’t chew up the fitting. And, versus a typical Crescent-type adjustable wrench, you don’t have to fiddle with the little thumb screw. Just push the button at the pivot joint to release the jaws, slide the jaws to fit the fastener and release the button. The grips then have enough motion to either release or grip the fastener.

The forging of the tool appears comparable in “bulk” to my 10 inch ChannelLock adjustable pliers (see photo), and the grips feel like they won’t slip off as they do on some cheap tools. The tool does come with some light oil on the metal so be prepared to wipe that off if desired.

This is going to be a great addition to my toolbox.

Opens to 2 inches all the way to a tight pinch. This WORKPRO 10-Inch Pliers Wrench is easy to adjust to whatever size I need. The long 10" handles give plenty of mechanical advantage so I can apply enough force to hold onto the object I am manipulating. Handles have a rubber coating. This unique design opens t as much a 2" wide - great solid feel. I like this new adjustment method which is so much easier and faster than my other pliers. This has quickly become my go to tool for any job I use pliers for. My highest recommendation for this quality tool.
