I recently had a newborn and wanted to make sure the air quality would be the best for my son. After receiving a pack of 2 filters on June 1 I immediately put one in.
1 month after I checked the results… not expecting to put another one in quite yet but man was I shocked by the results.
Truly shows that you get what you pay for… I recommend everyone get these for any indoor space with an HVAC especially if a child is going to live there.

If you’re questioning if these work, just don’t! Buy them! They capture so much dust, dirt and dog hair. I couldn’t believe what it looked like when I went to change the filter. These work great for an allergy sufferer like me! The only thing I was disappointed with was the advertised size and what it would fit. It’s a little too big for my vent so I had to bend the cardboard a little to make it fit. Other than that, I highly recommend!

The filter was replaced March 15, 2023, today I looked in the furnace to see the state of it and it is completely black just like before. Within two weeks time it’s completely black. I don’t know if that’s normal. What kind of filter turns black within two weeks? There is nothing drawing the dirt or dusk into the filter. There’s no special component in the furnace to cause filtration quicker than normal. I’m glad the dusk/dirt goes into the filter but my house is not that dusty. I wish that I knew if the filter is designed to draw dusk and dirt in more quickly than other filters. At this rate I shall need a hundred of these filter to accommodate the change rate. I need to research the filter when I have time. The filter which is made by Filtrete is excellent. If the reason for this blackness means that it is an Allergen Defense protecting my furnace equipment as well then good because I need this furnace to last as long as I live here in this house and 100 years more. I better start ordering some of these filters.

This is what is removed from the air (see grey filter pic). This filter can last up to 90 days but it depends on your area & the season - the more frequently your HVAC runs the more often you’ll need to change the filter. And you won’t mind. After using this filter, I am off allergy drugs & stay off, if I remember to check my filter every month. You will not regret this purchase.

I live in an area that had a lot of wildfires this summer. The smoke was thick, and we were cautioned daily about the unhealthy air quality. I bought this air filter and attached it to the front of my big fan. In just a short time the filter turned black with the soot that was kept out of my lungs. I changed the filter frequently, and I plan to use this low tech method to clean the air year around. I can't afford a fancy air filter system, which basically does the same thing.

My electric bill doubled from 350 to 700 two months in a row. When I changed the hvac filter, and also stopped my TV from running all night long, my bill went back down to 350. I'm gonna assume the savings came from changing the filter. Notice in the photo the filter buckled in. I'm sure how long the are supposed to last - I just want to say - change your filters often!!!!

Works pretty good. At first I didnt think the filter got that dirty but when I compared the used one to the new filter, there is a big difference in color. The used one trapped a lot of dust, really dark gray color
Packaging is bad.
Best filter. But this is not how you package the filters.
Smell a difference
Amazing! Took out all the dirt out of the air and stuck to the filter! Filter turned black!
