Packaging is fully labeled. An electrostatic filter with a high capture rating (MPR = 1000). I was impressed with how little resistance there was to airflow into my mobile home's hot air furnace, the door on which the filter mounts is hinges so it's easy to tell. Happily paid a bit more for the Filtrete brand and gad I did!.

Depending on your dust levels or how often you run the A/C, I recommend changing them every 1–2 months. Great brand, great performance, and worth the price.

I use these filters all the time. One thing to be a bit careful of is these filters are on the stiffer side (I have used filters in the past that have been flimsy), so you may need to bend the filter cardboard a bit in areas that have screws/ other obstructions in your filter area so it fits snug.

Filters seem to be the correct size. This is a double pack. Wish I could say if these were working or fit in the unit but the grille that I ordered in conjunction with this still has yet to be delivered so at this time I can't give an accurate review on performance, efficiency, dust blockage, etc.

UPDATE FOR THOSE WHO EXPERIENCED THE SAME RESULTS AS I DID: the third filter has apparently cleansed the space to the extent that it is at the 30 day mark and does NOT need to be changed yet! I'll be checking it every week for the next 4 weeks (still a good idea to change them every 2 months in my view) and once I install my last one, will report back at the end of July 2025. If you've experienced black filters, it's doing its job! Keep changing them every 30 days...you WILL see a difference and your filter will eventually last longer than a couple of weeks.

I had used an off-brand Merv 8 filter for years and was told by my HVAC company that it would be sufficient for my home (just under 1600 SF). I changed the Merv 8 every 2 months (though they were rated for 3), dating each filter before I put it in and though I was changing them a little early, I was always surprised at how little difference was between the old and the new filter. Well, needing a reminder, I had apparently deleted (rather than "completing" it) the one I had set up on my phone and ultimately realized that my last Merv 8 filter had been in for 6 months! When I changed it, I was surprised at how "not dirty" it was. On 4/1/25, I installed my first Merv 11 having read that they were the better choice. Though it wasn't scheduled to be replaced until 6/1/25, during Spring cleaning I checked on the new filter to see what it looked like and the photo attached is what I saw after only 21 days. My jaw hit the floor! The photo could be better but this is how the used vs the new compare. When I think what the air quality inside my home must have been before Filtrete's Merv 11 filter, I shudder. Buy one and test it then put it on subscription!

We have a wood burning stove downstairs in the basement, and occasionally we can smell smoke when the wind is blowing wrong. I switched to this filter and we saw immediate improvement. We also have an Ecobee thermostat, and it reports the air quality. It was constantly telling us that we had poor air quality and we should open windows. But that is not a good idea when the ye. Temps outside are sub zero. Since running with these filters, the Ecobee has been reporting GOOD or Fair air quality.

This is a great filter! It fits perfectly in our intake vent, and does a great job at keeping all the dirt, dust, and dog hair from entering the vent. We’ve had this one in for about 2 weeks and you can already see the work that it’s done with 3 kids and 2 dogs living in our house!
